FOX54 is a station with a purpose. We strive to bring you the breaking news and weather alerts you need throughout the day.
We first signed on in May 1991 and have been the CSRA's reliable FOX affiliate ever since. In 2003 WFXG aired our first newscast, giving the people of the CSRA a new choice in the late-night news programming: the market's first 10 p.m. show. Our news operation expanded once again in 2017 with the addition of our 4-hour FOX54 Morning News. This show became the longest locally-produced morning newscast in the area. The growth didn't stop there.
We began our newest chapter in January 2019 when the station was purchased by Lockwood Broadcasting. Fast forward 9 months later, WFXG launched two more newscasts – the 6:30 p.m. and the 11 p.m. Since then, WFXG has launched 5 hours of morning news, bringing the CSRA a total of 7 hours of local daily news Monday through Friday.
