Our story begins in 2005. David Edelman met Elizabeth Zabell, who had been recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Knowing nothing about diabetes, David was naturally curious when he first saw Elizabeth test her blood sugar during dinner. He began asking questions and immediately took an interest in diabetes and how it affected Elizabeth’s life.

Soon after they met, David and Elizabeth began reaching out to others online to manage the whirlwind of emotions and practical challenges. Inspired by the support they received, they saw a real opportunity to help others touched by diabetes. Diabetes Daily launched a few months later.

Today, Diabetes Daily is a leading online community that helps people with diabetes thrive. Headquartered in Cleveland, Diabetes Daily has vibrant communities with almost a million members across the web, Facebook, Twitter, and email.
