Association of Fundraising Professionals

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) represents more than 30,000 members in 222 chapters throughout the world, working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education and certification programs. The association fosters development and growth of fundraising professionals and promotes high ethical standards in the fundraising profession. We are the St. Louis Chapter, one of the largest in the United States and provide services and programs for regional members as well as community support to the metro St. Louis area. AFP St. Louis reaches out beyond our members into the larger community – locally and on a national basis. Our largest and most visible community effort is the annual National Philanthropy Day awards luncheon held each November at which we honor and recognize the year’s award-winning philanthropist, fundraising volunteer, charitable organization and corporation, youth, and fundraising professional.
