WGH-FM is owned and operated by Max Media. Founded in 2001, Max Media LLC acquires, builds and operates television and radio stations throughout the United States. Headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Max was formed by Gene Loving, the current Chairman and CEO, John Trinder, the current President and COO, Chuck McFadden, a senior advisor to Max, Tim Robertson, a senior advisor to Max and a founder of The Family Channel, and David Wilhelm, the current CFO. Management and the equity sponsors, Quad-C Management, Colonnade Capital and Golden Gate Capital, have committed approximately $175 million of equity to fund acquisitions and development of de novo broadcast properties.
