eStudentLoan was started in 1998 by a small team who recognized that sorting through all of the options to finance a higher education was unnecessarily complex. The idea was simple: Use technology to make the task of finding, comparing and applying for private student loans understandable. As one might imagine, this is not an easy task.

The goal of eStudentLoan has not changed. The team is dedicated to helping students find information about borrowing a private student loan to help pay for college easier. Before borrowing from a private loan company, eStudentLoan also strives to ensure students are knowledgeable about all borrowing options including government funded loans.

In addition to sharing financial aid knowledge, we are now also proud to work with LendingTree and SimpleTuition to match students to loan providers that may meet those borrowing needs.
