On March 30, 2001, the concession contract for the 91.5 FM frequency was signed in favor of Mr. Rosendo Vidal Escobar Cárdenas, for the purpose of installing, operating, and exploiting the radio broadcasting station "La Voz del Trópico," covering the provinces of Los Ríos and Bolívar. On November 26, 2014, Arcotel authorized the change of ownership from a natural person to a legal entity called Radio La Voz del Trópico de Quevedo RVTQUEVE SA, and Mr. Rosendo Vidal Escobar Cárdenas was appointed General Manager.
