In 1999, Radio Zaracay celebrated 40 years of service to the country, and Hólger took a momentous step in 2000 with the installation of the most modern media outlet, Zaracay TV-Channel 5. His aim was to promote the development of the region and its surrounding area.
Indeed, the Santo Domingo de los Colorados region continues to attract investment, strengthened by the service of a media outlet as important as Zaracay TV-Channel 5, which promotes the region's wealth, its significant agricultural production, and the activities of all its social, cultural, and sports institutions.
From the outset, Perícles Velasteguí Ramírez took over as director, organizing the production of newscasts, programs dedicated to women and the home, artistic performances, and sporting events.
