TVA Group

TVA Group Inc., subsidiary of Quebecor Media Inc. , is a communications company that operates in the television broadcasting, film and audiovisual production and magazine industries. In television, the company is active in the creation, production and broadcast of entertainment, information and public affairs programs, in the distribution of audiovisual products and in commercial production. It operates the largest private French-language television network in North America, in addition to operating eight specialty services. TVA Group owns and operates six of the ten stations that make up the TVA Network, including CFTM-TV (Montreal) which acts as network head and five regional television stations: CFCM-TV (Québec), CHLT-TV (Sherbrooke) , CHEM-TV (Trois-Rivières), CFER-TV (Rimouski-Matane-Sept-Îles) and CJPM-TV (Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean). In addition to these regional stations, there are four affiliated stations: CHOT-TV (Gatineau) and CFEM-TV (Rouyn) owned by RNC Média inc., as well as CIMT-TV (Rivière-du-Loup) and CHAU-TV (Carleton) held by Télé Inter-Rives Ltée. TVA Group holds a 45% stake in Télé Inter-Rives Ltée.
