Mängelkatalog (catalog of defects)

The defect catalogue (a comprehensive loose-leaf collection) is a standard reference work for §57a workshops. Its primary purpose is for vehicle inspectors to correctly classify defects. It is recommended to authorized bodies by the Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology as an additional working document for carrying out recurring vehicle inspections.

The "General Legal Part" and the complete version of the Testing and Assessment Body Ordinance are among the most important registers. The comments on the test items are based on the current state of technical knowledge, and damage images have been incorporated to make it easier to understand.
