Canale 21 Extra

Canale 21 (Napoli Canale 21 until 2013) is a television station founded in 1976, with headquarters in Naples and Rome . It was founded after the bankruptcy of Telediffusione Italiana Telenapoli, with the intention of creating an alternative structure to the state-owned one, and dedicated entirely to Naples and Campania, using broadcasting via airwaves. The name of the station derives from the first UHF channel (21, precisely) used for its broadcasts, as well as referring to the article of the Constitution on freedom of expression.

After an initial period of adjustment, Canale 21 became a point of reference in the varied and increasingly crowded panorama of free Neapolitan broadcasters, offering cutting-edge broadcasts, both in the field of entertainment and in that of information. Since 2013 it has changed its name by eliminating the name of the city from the denomination, and establishing a headquarters in Rome.
