A space where authors can live and work – independently, professionally, and creatively. That is the vision behind KMK publishing and an idea that forms the basis of our work. It is rooted in the realization that authors are usually multi-talented generalists who keep the bigger picture in mind when writing.

At the same time, we know that the enormous diversity of today's professional world makes life difficult for any generalist. It requires a restriction to one or a few specialist areas, which can be particularly difficult for authors. For this reason, quite a few of our colleagues sooner or later decide against the nine-to-five job and opt for the quite arduous life of a "freelance" copywriter, journalist, or author. At the same time, fewer and fewer publishers are willing to meet the requirements that make a reliable income realistic.
