CareersInGrocery.com and Careersinfood.com were founded by two executive recruiters with over 50 years of combined experience in the recruiting industry. These web sites grew from an increased frustration with the big generalists job boards. Tired of spending hours searching through hundreds, if not thousands of unqualified or non-industry resumes, they saw the need for industry-specific employment sites. Instead of searching databases using unreliable key words, they wanted to search by specific criteria.

When CareersInFood.com was first designed several years ago, this type of specific criteria search was not available on the most popular job boards. The only way to get what they wanted was to design it, so in late 1999 they decided to venture into uncharted waters and do just that.
