Milliyet SANAT

Milliyet Sanat isa culture and art magazine published by Milliyet Publishing Group.

Abdi İpekçi published a daily magazine supplement in Milliyet newspaper in 1972. One of these, Milliyet Sanat magazine, became a separate weekly magazine of thought and art (1974). It was launched on September 29, 1972. Ercüment Karacan was the owner, Abdi İpekçi was the editor-in-chief, and Akal Atilla was the managing editor.

The magazine covered all the arts, primarily literature, music, theater, painting, and cinema, staying up-to-date on current events. Each issue included book reviews, weekly art events and calendars, and film, art, and music critiques. Zeynep Oral , Özdemir Nutku , Mete Tuncay , Faruk Yener , Hilmi Yavuz, Mehmet Doğan, Ahmet Köksal, Atilla Sav, Mahmut Tali Öngören , Onat Kutlar , Cavit Orhan Tütengil , Emre Kongar , and Atilla Özkırımlı were among the most frequent contributors.
