It broadcasts a classic hits format, switching to Christmas music for much of November and December, and is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. The studios and offices are on Old Brownsville Road near the Corpus Christi International Airport. KMXR is a Class C1 station with an effective radiated power (ERP) of 100,000 watts, the maximum for most FM stations. The transmitter tower is on County Road 37 at County Road 64 in Robstown, Texas.
