The Catoosa County News publishes on Wednesdays and primarily serves Catoosa County in northwest Georgia. The office is at 124 General Cleburne Street in Ringgold, Ga. It is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each weekday, except on New Year's Day, July Fourth, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
The Catoosa County News published its first edition on Aug. 18, 1949. The original owner of The Catoosa County News was Jack Brewster. Jim Caldwell, who worked as a typesetter in 1960, became part-owner in 1965. News Publishing Co. of Rome, Ga., purchased the newspaper from Caldwell in November 1990. Times-Journal Inc. acquired the newspaper in February 2015.
