Times of Northwest Indiana

The Times Media Co. is the news and information leader in Northwest Indiana. We have the largest news gathering and sports staff in the Region, and we inform residents 24/7 through the daily Times of Northwest Indiana newspaper, a bustling website, www.nwi.com, apps and an e-edition.

Times' staffers work out of bureaus in Crown Point, Valparaiso, Portage, and the main office in Munster. The Times also has a statehouse correspondent in Indianapolis, covering the Northwest Indiana delegation and issues important to the Region.

The Times is both the Region's watchdog and its partner. We strive to follow the money, policies and government actions closely, and we report on public safety and human interest issues throughout Lake, Porter and LaPorte counties. We also partner with organizations to help the community in many ways.

In addition to the daily newspaper, Times' products include Inspired Living, Get Healthy and InBusiness magazines, and a monthly Your Family special section. We offer other special sections throughout the year, including the Progress editions published each March and the Best of the Region section.

The Times Media Co. holds signature events in the Region, including the 20 Under 40 banquet, the Business and Industry Hall of Fame luncheon and the One Region luncheon.

Among our recent initiatives is the Community Civility Counts campaign in partnership with the Gary Chamber of Commerce, and our history website, nwi.com/history, that launched at the start of Indiana's Bicentennial year.

The One Region initiative has worked in recent years to improve the quality of life and bring Region interests together.
