The MidAmerican Company RecPlex fulfilled a long-time community need for a year-round facility where teams can practice, leagues can host tournaments, and community members can stay active and entertained. Our diverse facility creates endless opportunities for sports and activities at the RecPlex. We offer activities such as open walking and Esports along with sports including hockey, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and more.

The RecPlex is more than a sports center — it is a one-of-a-kind destination that promises to enhance the quality of life for Central Iowans of all ages and abilities. The City of West Des Moines built a unique partnership with the local, private sector to address the demand for a regional, indoor sports facility that provides year-round access and the opportunity for our growing youth sports programs. This unique facility has something for everyone, from indoor ice, turf, and court spaces to meeting rooms, Esports, special events spaces, and more.
