The Gist

The GIST (Techstars '19) is an audience engagement company with a goal to level the playing field in the sports industry by connecting and empowering underserved sports fans through sports news and experiences.

Today, more than ever, the ability to build connections and relationships is incredibly important to one’s success. After four years of living and working in Toronto, The GIST co-founders realized that underserved fans are often left out of the conversation in the boardroom, on a date, or at a social gathering simply because they didn’t “watch the game last night”. This issue arises from the fact that there is a lack of diversity in the sports industry today. That’s where The GIST comes in.

The GIST curates and contextualizes sports news through our free and entertaining Monday and Thursday morning e-newsletters, daily Instagrams, informative website, and GIST Viewing Parties.
