MC Serch

MC Serch, born Michael Berrin on May 6, 1967 in Queens, New York, is a veteran American hip‑hop artist, producer, and media personality. He first gained fame as one‑third of the influential rap group 3rd Bass, which helped define East Coast hip‑hop in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

After 3rd Bass, Serch launched a solo career with the album Return of the Product in 1992 and is widely credited with helping introduce Nas to the music world, executive producing the legendary Illmatic.

Beyond music, Serch has worked as a radio host, hosted VH1 shows like The (White) Rapper Show, and founded his own promotions company. Today he remains active in hip‑hop culture, sharing content, insights, and stories on social media through @emceeserch and other platforms.
