The Union Star

Founded in 1906, the Union Star is a family-owned community newspaper in Brookneal, Va., and is published every Wednesday. The Union Star, which has 3,000 readers each week, covers the Counties of Campbell, Halifax and Charlotte, including the towns of Brookneal, Phenix and Rustburg, as well as the communities of Nathalie, Gladys, Naruna and Long Island.

The newspaper includes news and pictures about local government, crime, courts, public records, weddings and engagements, church services, social activities, high school and youth sports, and community events and activities. Our sponsors each week feature a variety of advertisers, including local supermarkets, retail stores, hospitals and health organizations, and other businesses and professionals.
