The Daily Athenaeum
The Daily Athenaeum began in 1887 and remains the independent student voice of West Virginia University. Students produce all content, sell the ads and update the website daily. Our delivery is 5,000 copies each Wednesday, delivered on campus, and inserted Fridays in the Dominion Post around the Morgantown area. It is proud of its role as a watchdog for the WVU community and has produced generations of journalists and students of all majors who have honed business and leadership skills at The DA.
The DA's offices are located at 284 Prospect Street, across the street from Arnold Hall on the Downtown campus. The DA publishes once a week, Wednesdays, throughout the school year, as well updating content every day online. The primary sections of the paper are news, opinion, culture and sports.
