What sets it apart and what it is known for is the many years of boating experience and the professional expertise of the editorial team, which consists exclusively of passionate water sports enthusiasts.

This gives the magazine a particularly in-depth reporting. Editor-in-chief Roland Duller alone, who has been on board for 30 years, has tested over 1,000 boats during this time. His deputy Roland Regnemer was a national team sailor in the Olympic 470 class and is still responsible for organizing the sailing league. The Yachtrevue is therefore not only the clear number 1 in Austria for nautical reporting, but is also one of the leading sailing and water sports magazines in Europe.

The magazine is a founding member of two important competitions, the "European Yacht of the Year" and "European Powerboat of the Year". At the same time, the Yachtrevue is the official organ of the Austrian Sailing Association and its 17,000 members, which is also the publisher, as well as the two largest Austrian motorboat associations, Vienna and Lower Austria.
