WIRED in Japan The Japanese edition of WIRED was launched in Japan in 1994 and had a huge impact on the development of early internet culture, but in 1998, much to the regret of its many fans, it ceased publication after 45 issues. 13 years later, WIRED has returned to serve as a guide for new technology journalism in Japan, a country in turmoil.
