The Elk Point Review is a weekly community newspaper serving the town of Elk Point and area. The small farming community has benefited from oil and gas exploration in the region. An active chamber of commerce is focused on economic development and community promotion. Agriculture and oil and gas extraction are leading industries in the community.
Elk Point is recognized as having one of the best Canada Day celebrations around and an impressive Christmas Extravaganza. This vibrant community has a strong core of dedicated volunteers. Elk Point residents have enjoyed the newspaper since 1984.
