I hope you enjoy reading this new opus of our traditional – and annual – Special Services publication as much as I did. Before you delve into the contents, I would like to highlight some of the themes in this issue. First of all, the spectacle, with the auctions organised by Ritchie Bros, which we let you experience as if you were there yourself. But it is not just spectacle, it is also efficient: in one minute, timed, a vehicle is sold! A surprise then, because two commercial vehicle brands are adapting their network strategy in a completely different way. On the one hand, we see Mercedes-Benz selling its branches to a private group, on the other hand, Volvo Trucks is once again buying up a group of private dealers. As always, one man's truth is not another man's... Even more surprise with the results of a survey that DKV carried out among drivers. This survey shows that their main concern is not their salary or the workload, but safety! Furthermore, 80% of drivers are proud of their profession. That is nice to hear. Finally, the alarm call from our editor-in-chief is informative: in the area of ​​Code 95, it is high time to take action, especially for the practical lessons. This should prevent the transporters from being confronted once again with a shortage of training and trainers. A good listener only needs one word!
