The Journal of Energy Economics (ZfE) has been providing independent and scientifically sound analyses for more than 40 years. Since the beginning of 2023, it has combined a research and a practical section. The research section contains scientific articles on energy economics and policy topics. The new practical section publishes news and articles that are intended to help classify new technologies as well as political and economic discussions.

In this way, the ZfE contributes to bringing scientific, practice-relevant findings beyond the public sector and the research community into companies. It is intended to serve as an information medium for lecturers, researchers and students in the energy industry as well as practitioners and consultants in administration and industry.
