400 exhibitors, 1,400 brands, 40,000 visitors, 135,000 square metres: these are figures that the organisers of Matexpo can be rightly proud of. And although the Kortrijk exhibition cannot compete with the oversized German Bauma, it can at least count on large receipts. For example, a demonstration zone will be opened this year that is directly accessible from the exhibition halls via a bridge. This will give visitors the opportunity to take a seat in the construction vehicles that are made available by the importers of heavy vehicles. Six major importers will be present. Scania will not be there: this year the manufacturer is focusing on a private 'off-road' event. The cherries (note the plural) on the cake: several premieres will adorn the halls of Kortrijk Expo. As for the Belgian premieres, these are the Mercedes Arocs, Mercedes Sprinter, Iveco Trakker, Renault 'C', Renault 'K' and the Volvo FMX. Not to mention that DAF Trucks will use the Kortrijk event to unveil the CF construction vehicle (*) in world premiere, a tangible sign of the increasing importance that manufacturers of heavy vehicles attach to our national Matexpo. It goes without saying that we warmly recommend a visit to the fair.
