Usbek & Rica

Usbek & Rica is the magazine that explores the future. It's a quarterly publication, sold in newsstands and bookstores, that aims to understand the world to come. We are living in an era of the most rapid upheavals in human history, and we refuse to be subjected to them. The question that guides our choice of subjects and the way we approach them is simple: are current technological advances synonymous with human progress? To help us answer this question, we call upon the most independent scholars and the most curious journalists. Drawing on the characters of Usbek and Rica (present in Montesquieu's Persian Letters, and revisited in our pages), we strive, like them, to see the world with fresh eyes. False naivety, but true commitment: the only value that remains unchanged is our humanism. And this desire to propose new ideas, to strive to build the world of tomorrow.
