First published in 1879, the Hillsboro Banner is North Dakota's oldest weekly newspaper.The Banner is currently published by Sub-Zero Press, Inc., which is owned by Hillsboro residents Cory Erickson and Cole and Alyssa Short. It is the only locally owned and operated newspaper in Traill County.The Banner is the official newspaper for the cities of Hillsboro and Grandin, N.D., as well as the Hillsboro and Central Valley school districts.
