King's Last March
King’s Last March is a multimedia storytelling project by APM Reports that explores the final year of Martin Luther King Jr.’s life and the events leading up to his assassination on April 4, 1968. The project examines King’s growing focus on poverty, his opposition to the Vietnam War, and his support for striking sanitation workers in Memphis.
Through historical documents, audio recordings, and narrative reporting, it reveals the challenges, controversies, and pressures King faced during his last campaign while continuing his fight for civil rights and social justice.
