MANEQUIM

Manequim is a Brazilian magazine published monthly by Editora Escala. Its target audience consists mainly of people who like fashion ( designers , dressmakers andfashion students ), or simply people who like to make their own clothes.

The magazine features various sections containing diverse information, such as patterns for those who want to make their own clothes, prices for all models for those who want to buy, tips on how, when and where to wear fashionable pieces, craft techniques and ideas for decorating the home, as well as cooking recipes to prepare and collect, among others. Founded in 1959, the magazine has been writing a beautiful success story, bringing fashion information to women of all ages.

In July 2014, Editora Abril announced the transfer of Manequim and nine other magazine titles to Editora Caras . These transfers referred to the magazines “Aventuras na História”, “Bons Fluidos”, “Máxima”, “Minha Casa”, “Minha Novela”, “Recreio”, “Sou+Eu”, “Vida Simples” and “Viva Mais”. 

According to the statement, Editora Caras will now be responsible for content production, circulation, and advertising sales for Manequim and these magazines.However, subscription, distribution, and printing services will continue to be provided by Grupo Abril, as the two publishers are partners. Starting in 2018, the magazine changed its circulation from monthly to bimonthly.
