Founded in 1909, the Altavista Journal is a community-minded newspaper and part of Womack Publishing in Chatham, Va. The Journal is published each Wednesday, reaching readers in Altavista, Hurt, Northern Pittsylvania County and much of Campbell County. The Journal focuses on the people in the area and the events and activities that affect them.
