The Villager

In December 2004, the Village of Oak Creek’s monthly newspaper was the Village Community News. Local editors were printing with World Publishing Company, a Phoenix company. The publication was losing support each month and the editor at the time, RG Wyckoff, decided he would like to partner with Verde Valley Newspapers again. Verde Valley Newspapers had published The Villager in the late 90’s. Wyckoff’s call to Verde Valley Newspapers resulted in The Villager; again, hitting all the mailboxes in the Village of Oak Creek and the rest is history. The partnership of the Village of Oak Creek Association and Verde Valley Newspapers has provided the Village of Oak Creek with great coverage of all the good news in the Village and Big Park area.

The writers for the Villager are local residents who have a passion for all the good happenings in the Village of Oak Creek and Big Park areas. Some of the writers have been submitting content since the Village Community News. They provide stories about the local community boards, the Community Calendar and wonderful features.
